SKIN LESIONS

Skin
lesions can be found anywhere on the body. There are various types
of skin lesions, which can be simply blemishes, or possibly a precancerous
or cancerous tumor. Removal of skin lesions can be performed in
order to improve appearance or to remove possible cancerous risks.
If the skin lesion is suspected to be cancerous, once removed, it
can be examined by a pathologist in order to determine if the skin
lesion is cancerous. There are various ways skin lesions can be
removed from the body, including the use of lasers, surgical excision,
chemical peels, dermabrasion and others. Advancements in technology
have allowed doctors to remove skin lesions with minimal or no amount
of scarring.
